I have been really struggling with this level of my Jones family with Samuel as the father and whether William Matthew/Mathew or Matthew/Mathew Jones are the father of Matthew B, Jones. And I can't find any written documents that tie Matthew/Mathew B. (if there really is a B in his name) with his children with Rachel Gallegly Jones.
I can tie in Rachel Gallegly because her married name is used in one of her sons as a midden name. The family first names beginning with Samuel also are very, very different than those that happen after him as the lineage is very, very repetitious.
Has anyone been able to confirm any documents in hand-writing?
There is also the consideration of Samuel being from NC and the entire family that I have originates in SC, then TN, IL and MO/MT from there.
I am also unable to trace where Mancil/Mancel/Mansel comes from.
While my tree on Geni is few. A friend David K. Brown has my/our Jones family tree very extensive as mine is all on ancestry.
The profiles I have attached and only so that we can find some way to connect them that is hand-written or an official document.
Appreciate any input and assistance.
