Profiles

Kuchhal family are part of the agrawal's that spread throughout Northern India and have grown rapidly to many countries.

It is a rich heritage spanning many centuries and it is worthwhile to research the movement of the family and its relationship to the Agrawal community

It is popularly known that Rishi Kashyap was the Guru of Kuchhals. The important information is that Kuchhals had acquired the status of Rishi and munies and maharishis and were present at Samaypur of Delhi (The most lucrative place, and looted by all invaders of Delhi).

Kuchhal is a 'Gotra' belonging to the Agrawal family that originated with Maharaja Agrasen (of Agroha).

As of December 2018, the oldest common ancestor that we have been able to identify within the GENI.COM eco-system, is Jagan Nath Prasad. Together with each of his 4 sons (Ganeshi lal, Baldeo Sahai, Sita Ram & Laxman Prasad), we estimate the total of the Kuchhal family tree at approx 600+ people.

Many of their branches have their privacy settings turned on which makes it difficult to research the ancestory of the KUCHHAL family. It is requested that at the very least, the information on the deceased is updated and made public, to allow for the easier location of our ancestory and to make it easier to discover the relationship links within the KUCHHAL Family.

Lastly, there are 2 primary information databases that are linked. GENI.COM (which aspires to build a Global Family Tree) and MYHERITAGE.COM (which is a private sub-set of the family that each of us is directly concerned with). For those that are maintaining one or the other, I requested that GENI.COM be kept updated and current. It is free, allowing for richer collaborative efforts from all within the family, and it has richer 'merge' options to eliminate duplicates, and allow the different trees to merge when a common ancestor is discovered.

Any questions, please locate my name on GENI.COM, and send me a message. Suneil Kucchal
