The history of Prediger Hermann Hirsch's well-known boarding school in Coburg:

Foundation of a boarding school at Hohe Straße 30 by the preacher of the community, Hermann Hirsch, as a reaction to the educational needs of the time and the decline of several Jewish private schools in Germany.

Hermann Hirsch prepares to convert the boarding school into a school. In addition, after the synagogue is closed (from May), the church services of the congregation will take place in the hall of the house.

Official recognition as a primary school. School starts in spring. In October 1935, lessons were relocated to the rented house at Hohe Straße 16. The house at Hohe Straße 30 is used to accommodate the school outside of Germany.

In October 76 pupils and students attend the educational institution. 16 come from Coburg.

On the night of November 9th to 10th, the students are forced to break the windows of their school. On November 10th, the headmaster Hermann Hirsch was arrested and the school closed.
