Mangere Lawn Cemetery is one of the oldest public cemeteries in the South Auckland area. It was opened in 1890 and the first burial took place in 1894.
Mangere Cemetery contains the official war grave of 1 man who served in the New Zealand forces during the First World War. This is Private George Hamilton who died on 17 November 1918.
This cemetery is situated at the junction of McKenzie Road and Kirkbride Road, Mangere.
