Australian Americans are Americans who have Australian ancestry, either because they were born in Australia or because they have ancestors from Australia.
In 2000, there were 60,965 American residents born in Australia and another 114,820 Americans who listed their ancestry as Australian. California, Hawaii, New York, and Florida have the largest concentration of Australian Americans, with the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan, New York serving as the country's predominant "Little Australia."
This project is for notable Americans connected to Australia through birth, ancestry, or upbringing.
