The goal here is to try to trace the Olch/Olchinetsky/Olshansky family history going backwards.
Might be written Олчинецкий or Олшинецкий or Альшинецкий ( Olchinetsky / Olshinetsky ) or Олшанский ( Olshansky ) in cyrillic.
It seems that the name may come from a town called "Olshansk" which is now in Ukraine ( see: http://oca.org/saints/lives/2013/09/28/102761-blessed-virgin-prince... ). There is even a Ukranian navy ship called "Olshansk" http://www.militaryimages.net/photopost/other-naval-transport-equip...
There is also some famous violinist and composer from Yiddish theater named Alexander Olshinetsky - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Olshanetsky
There is a document floating around about Olch geneology prepared by Vivian Edith Shore Zelman, which I have added to the Documents and Photos section ( http://www.geni.com/projects/Olch-Olchinetsky-Olshansky-Family-history-project/media/14534 ). I used parts of that to enter in some of the family tree that's in there now.
