Palekh is an urban—type settlement of the Palekhsky district of the Ivanovo Region of the Russian Federation. The ancient center of Russian folk craft — Palekh lacquer miniatures and icon painting. The administrative center of the Palekh urban settlement in the Palekh district.

The project was created to exchange information as part of the study of the history of families whose ancestors came from Palekh and its district.
