Ponugupaty (/Ponugupati) are Telugu speaking, Brahmin community from state of Andhra Pradesh, India. This project is an attempt to document the kinship with other similar families. While people with Ponugupaty surname can also be found in Guntur & Prakasam districts, their linkage to the current members (all from Northern districts of AP) is yet to be established. Another objective is to establish a collaborative effort to link all Telugu Brahmins, make the younger generation aware of their wider family roots and values.
