This project is a meeting place for users who share the R-FGC24041 Y-DNA haplogroup, which means they are related along their paternal lines. Users in this group may want to share their family trees with each other to find overlaps and merge duplicate profiles in order to join or expand the World Family Tree and discover new relatives.
R-FGC24041 is a subclade of the R-S20039 haplogroup, which in turn is a subclade of R-L47, R-L48 and R-U106.
The only two tested members of this haplogroup reside in Norway, and claim to be descended from Endrid Østenstad, who lived in Jølster, Sogn og Fjordane in the 1500s.
