Haplogroup R-FGC34047 originated in County Meath, Ireland.

The Dal Fiachrach Suighe (English: Seed of Fiachra Suighe) were an Irish lineage claiming descent from Fiachra Suighe (also spelled Fiacha Suidhe), the youngest of six sons of Fedlimid Rechtmar. His oldest brother was the legendary High King Conn Cetchathach.

High King Conn Cetchathach, was the ancestor of The Ui Neill, descendants of Niall, an Irish Dynasty who claim descent from Niall Noigiallach (Niall of the Nine Hostages), a historical King of Tara who died about 405 AD. His descendants tested positive for R-M222.

Fiachra's 4 great grandsons, the four sons of Art Corb, were expelled from Tara. Eochaid Allmhuir, settled in Dyfed c. 270, while the other 3 brothers settled in South Munster. The descendants of Art Corb tested negative for R-M222.
