This project is a meeting place for users who share the R-YP4479 Y-DNA haplogroup, which means they are related along their paternal lines. Users in this group may want to share their family trees with each other to find overlaps and merge duplicate profiles in order to join or expand the World Family Tree and discover new relatives.
Based on R1a Project there are only two people's names published in that project archives: N141774 Golembicki Szymon Gołębiewski, b. mid 1700s R-YP4479 Poland 224635 Pilypas Valentukevicius, b ~1800, Kabeliai, R-YP4479, Lithuania, Based on "BobPole" User feedback from Anthrogenica.com website who's last name is Gołębicki that he did test and he is under R-YP4479 Poland, we can assume that most of Golebiewski, Golebiowski, Golebicki, are probably under R-YP4479. I have done my DNA testing in the USA via 23andme but they only go as deep in analysis to the upstream haplogroup YP270 which is anyway extremely rare in their database as 1 in 1600 users. I conclude that I also belong to YP4479 (downstream from my YP270 in 23andme) based on my Golebiewski paternal lineage confirmed with DNA relatives in AncestryDNA & 23andme Databases Matches and also these two matches to Szymon Gołębiewski / Golembicki & BobPole Golebicki from Anthrogenica.com My downstream mapping from R1a-Z92 should be R1a-...-Z92R-Z685R-YP270R-CTS4648R-YP1405-YP4479
In Poland under R1a-Z92 (4.8% of population) subtracting YP351 (3.4% of population) I am ending up with 1.4% of Poland population estimate for CTS4648 based on Peter Gwozdz research: http://www.gwozdz.org/Results.html#ResultsTable
So that most likely covers majority of name variations of Golebiewski last name like Gołębiewski, Gołębiowski, Golembicki, Golebicki
