South Africa Surname Smit YDNA Project.

I have discovered a DNA match (autosomal) with someone from South Africa, surname Smit..His YDNA Haplogroup is: G2a2a2..This is a relatively rare haplogroup, One of the more well known people with this is : Oetzi, the Iceman..However this Haplogroup is to be found mainly in North Africa, the Middle East, Levant, Southern Europe , especially Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, etc....Now the surname Smit, sounds Dutch..Or possibly German if it was changed in South Africa from Schmidt.....But this Haplogroup origins are much further south.....So is this just a one off..FPE....?...It would be interesting to compare the YDNA with other Smits in South Africa.
