1892, first recorded Croatian-Māori marriage in New Zealand

In 1892, Croatian Andrija Kleskovic married his Maori Princess Erina Kaaka at St Saviour’s Church in Kaitaia in the far north of New Zealand. The couple had 13 children over an 18 year period. Andrija and Erina had 13 children over an 18 year period; Lizzie, Annie, Sonny, Joe, Leo, Tat, Mary, Lily, twins Ellen and Hazel, Patrick, Frank and Theo.

1909

Kleme Milić from Podgora married probably 1909?? Nita Hita. They had 7 children. Kleme remarried later.

1912

Marko Pivac from Podgora married probably 1912?? Mahae Kaio Nopera. They had 4 children.
Lovre Petričević from Podgora married Makareta Raharuhi, They had 8 children. After her death he married Waitai Toe Toe, they had 4 children.

1916

Marijan Lunjević from Podgora married Elizabeth Waru. They had 12 children.

1923

Ivan Vodanović from Podgora married Hana Ahitapu They had 5 children together, it was a second marriage for both of them (I think?, also all children carry Pita surname?)
