This project focuses on those people in the Lawley tree who did not bear the name of Lawley. To clarify, this little project focuses on those people who are my generation's Great Grandparents, with the exception of Thomas Lawley.
Interestingly, these people were all based in the Luppitt area of Devon. I have a pretty comprehensive series of trees now. The next task is to understand more of the lives of these people who lived so close to each other and whose families intermarried over generations. Alison Worboys, nee Lawley, has done a stunning amount of work here already. How lovely now then, to be able to start to put the picture together.
10th April 2012: a quick update on the connections at Luppitt. We now have a lovely lady, Olive Clapp helping to identify some photos. She is 90 years old and, it turns out, my second cousin, once removed! Her husband Albert, was the grandson of Mary Jane Clapp, a sister of Emma who married Thomas Lawley. A wonderful coincidence.
