All Jews were expelled from Vienna in 1670, and only a very few families were permitted to live there over the next 150 years. On December 31, 1804 authorities in Vienna set forth a list of 126 Jewish families who were then permitted to live in the city. The list was published in Urkunden und Akten zur Geschichte der Juden in Wien (Sources and Documents on the History of Jews in Vienna) (1526-1847) (Pribram 1918) Vol. II, pp. 120-132.
