Westminster Cemetery, Mausoleum & Cremation Centre opened its gates in 1926. Located on Bathurst Street between Finch and Steeles, Westminster originally consisted of 26 acres but recently expanded to 34 when approximately 8 additional acres were acquired. Westminster offers a full selection of final disposition options including traditional ground burial and various cremation options. However, Westminster is most known for its mausoleums. Westminster built its first mausoleum in 1956 and now has more crypts on its property than any other cemetery in the GTA. In 2015, Westminster opened the Mausoleum of Faith, built in the Catholic style. It features a two-storey entrance with a grand waterfall and massive custom-built angel statue imported from Italy. Sacred art and holy figures throughout the mausoleum add to the spiritual feel of the space.
