Aure Location in Møre og Romsdal Coordinates: 62°23′28″N 06°34′48″E Country Norway Region Western Norway County Møre og Romsdal District Sunnmøre Municipality Sykkylven Area[1]  - Total 3.94 km2 (1.5 sq mi) Elevation[2] 20 m (66 ft) Population (2009)[1]  - Total 4,083   Post Code 6230 Aure is a village which is the administrative center of the municipality of Sykkylven in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the Sykkylvsfjorden, just north of the Sykkylven Bridge. It is about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north of Straumgjerde and 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) east of Ikornnes.

The 3.94-square-kilometre (970-acre) village has a population (2009) of 4,083. This gives the village a population density of 1,036 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,680 /sq mi).[1]
