The surname Farah is very common in the middle east, many unrelated families share this surname.
One of the large families holding this surname, is the Farah Family that originates in Nazareth. It is a historically christian arab family, whose ancestor was called Farah. Farah arrived to Nazareth almost 350 years ago, and his descendants are known as the Farah family. Members of this family have since left Nazareth, and their descendants live now in many countries worldwide. In the beginning of the 20th century, many family members left for Cuba and the USA.
Those who immigrated to the USA, lived primarily and historically in Flint, Michigan. Gradually more and more family members followed. Til this day, a large portion of the family is still found in Michigan, but you can find family members in many other states, mainly California and Florida, among other states.
Those who immigrated to Cuba, resided mainly in Havana, others in Pinar del Rio province. Very few returned to Nazareth.
