My former husband's family name is Grimson. His paternal grandfather emigrated to North Dakota from Iceland at age 4 before 1890. His name was Gudmundur Grimson. He was an attorney in ND and became the Supreme Court Justice of the State of North Dakota. His two sons were Lynn Grimson, also an attorney in ND and Keith Grimson, Sr., a surgeon at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC (b Apr 21, 1910-d Nov. 1988 in Durham. Gudmundur's wife was Ina Sanford from Iowa. Lynn's wife was Mary Ann ?. Keith's wife was Mozelle Ardyce Grimson, 1912-1987. Keith and Mozelle had 3 sons: Roger Connell Grimson, Dec. 2, 1941 (living), Baird Sanford Grimson, MD, June 23, 1943 (living) and Keith Sanford Grimson, Jr. (July 6, 1946-Aug. 2005). Lynn and Mary Ann Grimson had two daughters. Roger Grimson and I (Martha Ann Matthews, January 5, 1946) have two children, Randolph Matthews Grimson, January 18, 1970 and Julia Ardyce Grimson Simpson, April 27, 1972. Julia Grimson Simpson and husband Jason Simpson, MD, have 2 children, Nicholas Sanford Simpson, Sept. 30, 2006 and Olivia Grace Simpson, Sept 1, 2008. Roger Grimson lives in Jupiter, FL. Baird Grimson lives in Chapel Hill, NC. Keith Grimson, Jr., lived in Columbus GA, prior to his death.
