Elizabeth Hornsby married William McBeath in 1838 Adelaide Ssouth Australia. William, son of William and Mary Balfour Leask was born in South Ronaldsay, Orkney in 1818. The family details and address are in the 1821 census. The farm Burwick still exists as a ruin.(2011) His father drowned before his youngest sister was born and his mother married again to George Hay Lawrie (I cant trace her any further)
William and Elizabeth nee Hornsby had 5 children. Lived at Mt Pleasant (stock-keeper Terliga Station) Later after Elizabeth died, Wm had an inn built and ran it for a few years before going to Narrung station where he married again and had several more chidren.
