Vujčić families are predominantly Croats and they are mostly from Vrgorac. According to some sources they are from Dubrovnik area or from Herzegovina, they are less frequently Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Vrgorac and Imotsko. In places Duge Njive and Orah in Vrgorac every fourth inhabitant had the family name Vujčić.
