Our ancestors are from Burebasaga Village in the Rewa Province on Viti Levu i.e. the largest island in the Fiji group. My last known ancestors were Saimoni Waibuta and Mere Buloulevu. They had 8 children with only three reaching old age and are known to me, they are Fulori Rokodrausa Waibuta, Saimoni Waibuta and my father, the late Sakeasi Rabitu Waibuta. My family belongs to the Mataqali Savidi, Yavusa Navakasobuoka and our Tokatoka is Na wai.
My aunt, Fulori R Waibuta had two daughters from Filipe Levaci (Philip Ting) from Lekutu, Bua. They are Mereseini Qeqe and Kelera Adi, Qeqe is married to Maika Balenaivalu from Vugalei in Tailevu and Adi was married to the late Laisa Senimoli of Drue in Kadavu. Qeqe was first married to a man from Kadavu which i know nothing further about but i do know that they had three children and they are Bose, Filipe and Litia. Qeqe then married a man from Sorokoba/ Bulu, Ba which she had another three children namely Vaciseva, Eta and Jolame. She only had one child with Maika and that is Elenani. Adi had three children from the late Laisa Senimoli and they are Jovesa, Anaseini (muma) and Laisa.
