Alexander Hamilton

On January 11, 1757, economist Alexander Hamilton was born. Hamilton was a Founding Father of the United States and the first United States Secretary of the Treasury. In 1776, Hamilton signed the Declaration of Independence. He also co-wrote the Federalist Papers, a series of articles promoting the ratification of the U.S. Constitution.
