Charlie Chaplin
On April 16, 1889, film icon Charlie Chaplin was born in London, England. One of the biggest stars of the Silent Era, Chaplin is considered a pioneer and one of the most influential figures of the 20th century. In 1919, he founded United Artist film studio with D.W. Griffith, Douglas Fairbanks, and Mary Pickford.
