Forty-five years ago today, Robert F. Kennedy was shot in a hail of gunfire in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. He died from his wounds the next day. The younger brother of President John F. Kennedy, Robert served as the 64th U.S. Attorney General from 1961 – 1964. He was a seminal figure of the 1960s and a strong advocate for the American Civil Rights Movement.
