Virginia Woolf

Today we remember writer Virginia Woolf, who passed away on March 28, 1941. She was born into a privileged English household in 1882. Considered one of the foremost modernists of the twentieth century, Woolf was a central figure in London literary society. Her most famous works include Mrs. Dalloway and Orlando. Although she was a remarkably gifted writer, Woolf battled bouts of deep depression. In 1941, she took her own life at the age of 59.
