Cpl. Benjamin ‘Shy Ben’ Allen - Disputed origins

I’ve separated two Benjamin Allen’s. It seem to me that the origins of the man who settled in Canada are not proven, and it’s better to keep them distinct, until we know more.

Cpl. Benjamin ‘Shy Ben’ Allen who married Eva Magdalena ‘Sarah’ Allen is seen as the same person as Sgt. Benjamin Allen who married Beza Drew son of Benjamin Allen, of Bridgewater & Mehitable Allen

So the idea is that he never returned to Massachusetts, his wife Beza remarried, and eventually he remarried. But so far I do not see records supporting this origin story - just debate.
