A tree on ancestry dot com is the source for the identity of Abigail. I leave the discussion below to aid in other searches in the complex Vanhorn lines. {MMvB May 2019}

The Van Horn family history Chapter VII. Genealogy. Jan Cornellessen Van Hoorn and his descendants one of the first school teachers in New Amsterdam, now New York City on page 108.
We read there under No.143
Abigail b. July 7th, 1718 m. John Bogart, Mar. 16, 1737
Going to page 324 of the work, we see a discussion of the male children of Barent Christian Vanhorn and Geertje Dirks Claussen... there were 10 of these sons. It is my supposition that one of these is the father of ABIGAIL. Many of these sons were Bucks County residents. The father Barent wasn't one even though he secured the properties there.
List of prospective grand fathers
- (No. 5.) Ensign Richard m. Elizabeth Gerretsen
- children (3) John, Mary and Benjamin born 1707-1714
- (No. 6.) Christian Bucks Co. Prov. Assembly m. Willamantje Van Dyke
- children (11)
- (No. 7.) Peter who married twice. It is his daughter Jannetje who married Edmond Roberts. It is this fact that encourages me to look for a female sibling or first cousin named ABIGAIL VANHORN
- children (12)
- (No. 8.) Nicholas, who married and settled in Delaware
- children (9)
- (No. 9.) Barent (married twice) lived in Bucks. In 1714, Barent received 276 acres by deed in Northampton township, Bucks Co., from his father. He had fourteen children. Is there a missing Abigail in addition to these fourteen?
- (No. 10.) John who married and reared a family in Philadelphia. ~• No Abigail seen as a child
- children (5)
- (No. 11.) Abraham who married and moved to the Easton PA area
- children (9)
- (No. 13.) Isaac of Bucks County m. Alice Sleight. Had children who were in the Addisville congregation. (No Abigail seen as yet)
- children (7)
- (No. 14.) Johannis m. Jannetje Van Boskirk = Jan Johannes Van Horn , Died young in Bergen NJ.
- children = 3 or more
- (No. 15.) Benjamin baptized Mar. 25 1705; died at age 9
- children (none)
It is only from the children or grandchildren of the above 10 men that we would select an Abigail to be wife of Joseph Roberts
