About Admiral Sir Thomas Button
Sir Thomas Button, admiral and artic navigator was fourth son of Miles Button of Worlton by Margaret Lewis of Van. He married Mary daughter of Sir Walter Rice of Newton or Dynevor.
ELIZABETH [SIC: Mary] and ADMIRAL SIR THOMAS BUTTON had seven children. In a letter dated APRIL 23, 1633, ADMIRAL SIR THOMAS BUTTON, writes a letter to the King, in which he writes of the utter ruin of himself, his wife, and seven children.
