notes
From http://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/crockett/244/
Rest assured that this family has been fairly well researched and that as of the present there is nothing factual (that I have seen) to tie them to any other Crockett family.
Some of the Crockett land now is used as a dinner-theater and resort called "Allenbury" with a "Crockett Room" in an early building. Your Crocketts lived at Boiling Springs, PA -- before the toen itself existed. They lived by an early iron works on Yellow Breeches Creek about 5 miles from Carlisle.
