About Alan Gordon McIlvaine
Alan G McIlvaine, 79, of Scottsdale AZ passed away December 14 2003 of congestive heart failure. Born April 20, 1924 to Reuben and Ruth McIlvaine in Philadelphia. Wife of 49 years, Barbara, preceded him in death in 1997. Alan was a combat infantry officer during the Battle of the Bulge. He received a purple heart among other medals. He attended Penn State and had a career in purchasing with several electronics companies, including Motorola. He enjoyed golf and was a member of Camelback Bible Church. He served as president of the 35th Infantry Division Association this last year and organized the 2003 annual reunion which was held in Mesa. Survived by his Sister, Eleanor Clague of Napa CA; daughter, Barbara Tingom of Scottsdale; son, Alan McIlvaine Jr. of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Jennifer McIlvaine, Brook Wayne, Christopher Mac Tingom, Brian McIlvaine; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held January 30, 2004, 2 PM, at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E Indian School, Scottsdale AZ 85251.
