Alene Lindsey Eads of Clarendon died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999 in Clarendon. She was 90 years old at the time of her death.

Mrs. Eads was born January 29, 1909 in Greenville. She was a resident of Wellington most of her life before moving to Clarendon in 1985. She had married William Artford Eads Feb. 1931 in Wellington. He preceded her in death Sept. 1975.

Mrs. Eads had worked as a nurses aide at the Wellington Care Center for 28 years before her retirement in 1983. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Wellington.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Genella Eads of Clarendon; two sisters, Mildred Housden of Clarendon, Lou Ella Steen of Plainview; two grandchildren, Andrea Schoelhorn of Houston and Eddy Eads of Clarendon, four great-grandchldren and two step-great-grandchildren.
