Mar 10 1576/7 Alice married Thomas Tilden (808) , son of Richard Tilden (312) (15 Oct 1520-May 1565/6) & Elizabeth Glover (ca 1515-30 Dec 1585), in Tenterden, Ashford, Kent. Born bef 1541 in Beneden, Kent. Thomas died in Kent, England in Jun 1617. Buried on 6 Jun 1617 in Wye, Kent.

He married three times. He married Alice BIGGE March 10, 1575/6 in Tenterden, Kent, England. Alice was born in Benenden, Kent, England. She is the daughter of Robert BIGGE and Elizabeth (BIGGE). Alice died at age unknown. Her body was interred May 13, 1593 in Tenterden, Kent, England.

Alice contested her husband's will on 9/26/1617 along with sons Nathaniel Tilden of Tenterden, Hopestill Tilden of the town of Sandwich, and Thomas Tilden and Freegift Tilden of Wye bringing suit against her son, executor Joseph Tilden.

On 3/27/1618, the sentence was passed that confirmed the original will, deeming that her husband was sane and in right mind when he signed his original will [Consistory Court of Canterbury]. ["Genealogical Research in England," NEHGR, Oct., 1911].

Burial record has Alice wife of Thomas Tilden. No other marriage of a Thomas to Alice.

Thomas leaves widow Alice 1617, who with sons contest his will. Has to be a third wife.
