About Allen Victor Krueger
Allen Victor Krueger, 59, of Humble, Texas, was called to eternal peace by his Lord on Oct. 6, 2008. Allen was born in Chicago on Sept. 27, 1949, and spent many of his formative years in Arlington Heights.
Allen attended Quincy University and was awarded a bachelor of science degree with emphasis on biology studies in 1972. His career path veered from his academic pursuits and he developed expertise recognized in the field of precision carbide metal working tools. He gifted his employers, Gardner Denver Co., Kennametal Inc. and, most recently, Iscar Metals Inc. with his extensive product knowledge and commitment to serving clientele. His vocation allowed him the opportunity to travel, including an 18-month assignment in South Africa.
Allen was an avid outdoorsman, a passion that began with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the West Quincy (Mo.) Skeet Shoot Club. Hunting prompted him to develop his culinary skills, which brought him great joy, and he shared unselfishly with those around him.
Allen served his communities as an EMT, Jaycee, assistant and chief of the Atascocita (Texas) Volunteer Fire Department and Adams County Auxiliary deputy. Allen's commitment to family was steadfast and his spirit will remain.
He is held in loving remembrance by his daughters, Minnie Sue Reische (husband Todd) of Fowler, Nora Beth Wilson (husband Seth) and grandson Elijah of Quincy; his parents, Victor and Mary Krueger of Arlington Heights; siblings Andrea Liston (husband James) of San Diego, Lawrence Krueger (wife Pamela) of Humble, Texas, Teresa Dietrich of Springfield, Theodore Krueger (wife Patty) of Valencia, Calif., and Patricia Grill (husband Russell) of Pleasant Plains; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Towilla Krueger; and a sister, Cathleen Wilson.
SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held in Humble, Texas, with funeral services to be held at a later date in Chicago. Condolences may be expressed online at www.whig.com.
