About Amelia Egan
WEDDING.-
The marriage of Mr. James J. Egan, of Raverswood, only son of the late Mr. John Egan, of Geelong, and Miss Amelia Tonkin, second daughter of the late Mr. Wil liam Tonkin, of Dingee, took place at the Wes leyan Church, Forest-street, Bendigo, on Wed nesday. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Bailey, the bride being given away by her brother, Mr. A. Tonkin. She wore a cos tume of white cashmere, with court train, wreath and veil, the bodice being tucked, trimmed with honiton lace. She also wore a gold chain and locket, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of white camelias and ferns The bridesmaid, Miss S. M'Gillivary of Officer (Gippsland), wore a paie pink French muslin trimmed with white lace and ribbon, large white hat find plumes, and wore a gold bar brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. M. Kofoed acted as best man. After the ceremony the wedding party drove to Mr. Stembel's private hotel, where an excellent breakfast was partaken of. The happy couple left by the afternoon train amidst showers of rice, en route for Ballarat, where they intend spending their honeymoon. The bride's travel ling dress was a costume of fawn cloth, with hat to match. The bride was the recipient of many handsome and useful presents.
