Price, Anjer,

• born 12/27/1756 in Culpeper County, Virginia;
  • birthdate corrected, source lists it as 21/27/1756 which probably should be 12/27/1756.
• entered service 1776 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, where resided, in 8th Virginia Regiment;
• after Revolutionary War gave service discharge papers to relative Mary Price who moved to Georgia;
• soldier resided in South Carolina after Revolutionary War for 2 years, then to Russell County, Georgia, thence to Warren County, Tennessee, where granted Pension in 1818;
• resided there in 1821, occupation farmer, when following children living with him & wife:
  • Reuben (lunatic) age 34,
  • Polly abt. age 16 &
  • Patsy abt. age 13,
  • sister Lucy Price resided there then;
• Reuben Price (no kinship given) made affidavit there then that he knew soldier when soldier came home in 1779 from service;
• William Tipton made affidavit in 1822 in Knox County, Tennessee, that he served in Revolutionary War with soldier;
• James McKinney made affidavit then in Russell County, Virginia, that he served in 8th Virginia Regiment with soldier, per witnesses John Smyth & Zachariah Fugate, per presiding justice John Tate & County Court Clerk Henry Dickenson, soldier died in Warren County, Tennessee, 12/10/1829;
• married 4/10/1783 to cousin Jane Price, Shenandoah County, Virginia;
  • widow born 10/3/1765 in Granville County, North Carolina & granted Pension 1839 in Coffee County, North Carolina;
• soldier's son Colonel A.J. Price, referred to in 1842;
• Richard Price (no kinship given) made affidavit age 83 in Hamilton County, Tennessee. F-W1073, R1974.
