About Anthony Newhall

Anthony Newhall was born in Sherington, Buckinghamshire around 1605. He was married twice prior to emigrating to Massachusetts. His first wife Mary (Unknown) was buried at Sherington on June 7, 1631. The Anne Newhall previously thought to be issue of this union has now been proved to be a daughter of a Henry Newhall and not Anthony. Whether there were any children from his first marriage is unknown. He married, second, Mary White on November 6, 1631 at Olney. Their first child named Mary was baptized on November 17, 1633 at Sherington. Their only son John was born around 1635 probably at Sherington. He and his family emigrated by 1637 and he participated in the land division at Lynn in 1638.
