ARCHIBALD KNOX OF SELVIELAND

Archibald Knox of Selvieland is the son of William Knox of Selvieland. The name of his mother has not been identified. On 25 May 1624 Archibald Knox of Selvieland was served as heir to his deceased father William Knox of Selvieland in the twenty shilling lands of old extent of Selvieland. Death

Archibald Knox of Selvieland died before 6 March 1627, the date upon which his younger brother Alexander sold Selvieland to Simon Brisbane of Middle Walkingshaw. Register of the Great Seal of Scotland, A. D. 1620-1633, charter number 1046 on page 370

6 March 1627: A charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which the King confirms possession of the twenty shilling land of old extent of Selvieland in the barony of Renfrew to Simon Brisbane of Middle Walikinschaw and his wife Susanne Walkinschaw.
