The following was taken from the Feb. 9, 1966 edition of THE ROBESONIAN:

Funeral services for Arthur Hardin, 87, who died at Southeastern General hospital Sunday night after a long illness, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at White Hill Baptist church. Rev. James Legett, Rev. Millard Maynor and Rev. Frank Graham will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Sampson, Mrs. Christopher Allen of Lumberton and Mrs. Hartman Chavis of Decatur, Ala.; three sons, Bazie Hardin, Lonnie Lester Hardin and Dannie Hardin, all of Pembroke; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William Hardin and Roy Hardin of Laurel Hill.
