Married to Louisa J. Dewitt. March 13, 1851, Montgomery County. Ky.

He entered the army in 1862 to fight for the Union, and manfully did his part. He died Aug. 19, 1885.

MEADOWS - Benj. F. Meadows, Sergeant, Co. M.5th Mo.," M.S. M." Cav, was born in Estill County, Ky., Jan. 2, 1815, and was married to Louisa J. Dewitt. March 13, 1851, Montgomery County. Ky. He entered the army in 1862 to fight for the Union, and manfully did his part. He died Aug. 19, 1885. When the dread summons came, he met death with heroic will, and, having fortified himself with Christian valor, he died like a brave soldier.
