Benjamin George Whitworth

WHITWORTH, Benjamin George On December 24, 2008 Ben Whitworth passed away at the age of 75 years. '

Lovingly remembered by his family; spouse: Fran Shanks, children: Sherry (Dave) Wickman, Kevin (Lila)  Whitworth, Darcy (Claire) Whitworth, Farron (Assunta) Whitworth, stepchildren: Bobbie (Richard Romanoff) Luft, Murray (Bonnee) Shanks, 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers: Bob Whitworth; Scott (Doreen) Whitworth and Pat Whitworth, as well as many relatives and friends.

Ben spent over 50 years in the oil industry and owned BW Rig Repair for 20 years before his retirement in 1995.

A Memorial Service will be announced in the Friday, January 2, 2009 edition of the Edmonton Journal.

If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA.
