Den 15 Augustus 1728. Martinus van Staden van Cabo de Goede Hoop Borger aan Drakenstein J.M. met Katharina Bota van Cabo voornoemt J.D.

On 7th March 1727 she asked the Weeskamer to provide funds

for the support and clothing of the minor Johanna Maria van den

Brink since she had not received anything from the fathter, Warnar

van den Brink for a considerable time. She was granted 2 rixdalers

per month for this. The child had presumably been farmed out (besteet)

by the Weeskamer to her to look after. (MOOC 1/5, page 6)

7 October 1714, the name of Catharina was written in the record as Catrina Boota. 15 August 1728, the name of Catharina was written in the record as Katharina Bota.

Her children are given as listed in the Estate Accounts of

her father, Jacobus Botha de oude, drawn up between

1791 and 1793.
