About Charles Jordan, of Goochland County
Date of burial is known (11/6/1773). Date of death is unknown. DOD was probably a couple of days earlier, but almost certainly not the same day as the burial, so I put 11/4/1773 c. for the DOD. Please don't use the Date of Burial as the DOD unless you have some evidence. And please add a note explaining your date of death.

From bio by Gresham Farrar: "The will of Charles Jordan, Sr., "of the Parish of St. James Northam, Goochland Co., was dated 07 May 1773 and probated in Goochland Co., 16 May 1774. It conveyed to his wife, Hellenah, during her natural life, furniture, stock and chattel. To his son, Charles (Jr.), a hundred and fifty acres, "lying on Little Lickinghole Creek" in Goochland Co., and to his son, William, "the tract of land whereon I now dwell". He made lesser gifts to his children, Elizabeth Sublet, James Jordan, and Matthew Jordan. Witnesses: Ambrose Stodghill, John Woodson and Samuel Jordan, evidently another son (Goochland County Will Bk. 10, pp 437-438). [1]
Name
No sources found anywhere for a middle name of "Wesley". The combination “Charles Wesley” is often named after the Methodist evangelist with that name. But Rev. Wesley was only born about 8 years before Charles Jordan. He wouldn’t have yet been famous for someone to name their son after him.
