About Christopher Hussey
Christopher was the 9th child of Christopher & Mary (Mickle) Hussey. He came with his father to what is now Jefferson twp, Greene Co, OH in about 1806/07. He served as Justice of the Peace for 40 yrs. He laid out the town of Bowersville from his land in 1848. His first wife was Margaret Haughey, (1796-1837), dau of Thomas & Violet (Clanch) Haughey. Christopher 2nd married in 1838 to Catharine Lockhart,(1817-1900), dau of Samuel & Mary (Foster) Lockhart. Veteran of the War of 1812, Capt Wm Stephenson's Company.
