About Deacon Alvin Lyman
In 1835, they removed to Napoli. About 1841, they settled in East Randolph, where Mr. Lyman had built a good residence. In the fall of 1868, they removed to a farm within the limits of Randolph village now owned by their son, Capt. J. H. LYMAN, and now reside on Jamestown street.
Mr. Lyman was a millwright and farmer and followed both avocations. Both were members of the Freewill Baptist Church of East Randolph, of which he was a deacon twelve or thirteen years. He also served this town as justice of the peace and assessor and was a highway commissioner in Napoli, New York.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: May 11 2020, 1:12:16 UTC
