It is difficult to reconcile the records for Dinah BATTEE. Ferdinando BATTEE's will, pr. 1706, proves that one dau.

Dinah was married to BREWER. However, one Dinah BATTEE had married by 1675, Thomas KNIGHTON, whose

will was pr. 28 Apr. 1693, & also m. ca. 1694, Anthony SMITH, per administration of 25 Mar. 1716, of SMITH's

estate. Dinah BATTEE KNIGHTON SMITH must have been eldest child of Ferdinando & Millicent, and Dinah

BATTEE BREWER was eldest child of Ferdinando & Elizabeth. All Hallows: Ferdinando BATTEE & Elizabeth had

Dinah, b. 31 Dec. 1690; Benj.; Ferdinando; Mary, b. 5 Mar. 1698; all bpt. 23 July 1700; & Eliz., b. 30 Je. 1701. [That

means that Dinah was very young at marriage in 1704/5 to BREWER.]
