About Edmund Hugo Brandts

Immigrated to US Nov. 18 1903 (age 24) from Lodz Germany, which was an industrial city.

He returned to Germany in July 1907 after he married Lillie Hirsch.

Edmund was a businessman, having started several businesses in the US. He was in furniture manufacturing at the Mersman Brothers Brandts Furniture company, he owned property on Grand Lake which included a hotel/restaurant, and quite a few cottages for summer vacationers. After the depression of the 1930s, he committed suicide because of the financial downfall of the businesses.
