About Edmund Blount
This profile does not belong in this Blount family. When his puroprted father John Blount's Inquisition Post Mortem was held in 1443, his son & heir was found to be Humphrey Blount, then aged 20 [so born in 1421/1422]. Where as Edmund is said to have been born in 1404, far too old to be a member of that family. The confusion is I think, because about the same time a different John Blount, died. He was of Bitton, Gloucestershire, wife Wilelma & his son & heir was Edmund Blount.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Blount-754 Edmund, noticed as Edward in the Visitations of Gloucestershire,[1] was the son and heir to John Blount, uncle to Isabella Blount, heiress to Mangotsfield,[2] and his wife Willelma Aberle, daughter and heiress to Thomas Aberle. [3] In the source mentioned, Isabella died in 1403 and the lands and titles to Mangotsfield, passed to John Blount, stated as 26 at the time of inheritance. John already held the manor, and lands, of Bitton and during his life the titles were combined into Mangotsfield. John died in 1444 and the titles and lands passed to his son and heir, Edmund.[4] ↑ Visitations for Gloucestershire for 1623; Blount of Mangotsfield starting page 23, see bottom page 23 for Edward Blount
