It is believed that Elisha Reynolds never came to Southern Illinois.However, according to Mrs. Chapman's history the following is found oncourt records for 1816: Elisha Reynolds and Thomas Littlepage vs. Hannah Borin.

In 1776 Elisha Reynolds served as an Indian spy in the Blue Ridge mountains, and later served in the Revolutionary Army. he fought the Tories at New River and also at King;s Mountain. On Jan, 25, 1782 he was appointed a Lt in the Wilkes Co. Militia and served under Col. Elisha Isaacs. On 10/31/1832 he made an application t the federal government for a pension as a result of his Revolutionary War service. The pension was granted. On 07/30/1841 hes widow also applied for a pension and it was granted. Exert from the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Volume 148.
