About Elizabeth Carmody
Elizabeth married twice. Irving Applin, who suffered a broken neck after falling down a flight of stairs on the way to work, and James Carmody.
"Mrs. James B. (Elizabeth Vogt) Carmody, 75, of 34 Jefferson St., died unexpectedly in Dansville Memorial Hospital yesterday (Dec. 4, 1961). Mrs. Carmody was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society of St. Mary’s Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, William J. Applin of Dansville, and a daughter, Mrs. Jacob Bricks of Williamsport, Pa.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. The Rev. John M. Merklinger will officiate at the Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
